One tool I really like is “connected papers”. If you find a paper you like, it will create a map of papers that it cites and that cite it, showing how many citations each one has. It lets you identify the most important papers related to this topic.

What I also like is Elicit (https://elicit.com/) to find papers about something very specific. I have also played around with Research Rabbit (https://researchrabbitapp.com/home), but it somehow always seems to be buggy about the papers that interest me the most.
